The Praise Symphony Orchestra has been making music to the glory of God since it was started by Peter Jacobs in 1977. The Lord has been gracious to us, and our membership is now made up of 45 musicians from over 20 different communities and churches in the southern California area. Helen Weed has been the conductor since 1984.
We meet on Monday evenings for rehearsal, fellowship and prayer, and about once a month we present worship and praise concerts in local churches and various venues throughout southern California. PSO concerts include exciting and inspirational settings of hymns and contemporary worship songs and are designed to be concerts of worship. We have traveled to Chile in 2008, 2011 and 2017, sharing the gospel in music in that beautiful country, and look forward to other ministry trips in the future.
